Events & Table Reservations

How to Create an Event

  1. Open Create Event: Tap the "Create Event" button from the Discover tab or any game shop page.
  2. Select a Game Shop: Choose a partner shop for your event or enter a custom location.
  3. Set Details: Choose your game, date/time, and max attendees.
  4. Enable Reservations (Optional): If the shop supports it, you can enable table reservations with a deposit requirement.
  5. Publish: Your event is now live! Share it with friends or let others discover it.

How to Join an Event

  1. Find Events: Browse events on the Discover tab or search for events at specific shops.
  2. View Details: Tap an event to see game info, location, and who's attending.
  3. Reserve Your Spot: Tap "Join Event" and pay the deposit if required.
  4. Show Up & Check In: Arrive at the event and check in via the app.
  5. Earn Store Credit: Your deposit converts to 100% store credit!

About Table Reservations

Table reservations with deposits help ensure everyone shows up for game night. When you pay a deposit to join an event:

  • Show up: Your deposit becomes 100% store credit at the shop
  • Cancel early (24+ hours): Full refund to your payment method
  • Cancel late or no-show: Deposit is forfeited

How Store Credit Works

Store credit is issued directly by the game shop for purchases at their location. After checking in to your event:

  • Let the shop staff know you have Scorehaven credit
  • Use it toward any purchase: games, snacks, tournament entry
  • Credit doesn't expire and accumulates across events

Payment Security

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never store your full card details. Deposits are held as authorization until after the event, then either released (refund) or captured based on your attendance.

How do I request a refund?
Cancel your event registration more than 24 hours before the start time, and your refund will be processed automatically within 5-10 business days.
I was charged but didn't join the event?
Contact us at support@scorehaven.com with your event details and we'll investigate.
Can I use store credit at any shop?
Store credit is shop-specific. Credit earned at one shop can only be redeemed at that same shop.

Game Scoring

Quick Start: Score a Game

  1. Choose a Game: Search our library of 20,000+ games or use the generic scorer.
  2. Add Players: Enter player names. You can add 2-20+ players depending on the game.
  3. Select Mode: Choose Live (real-time), Turn-Based, or Final Score Only.
  4. Track Scores: Enter scores as you play. The app handles calculations automatically.
  5. Complete & Save: End the game to save to your history and see statistics.

Scoring Modes Explained

  • Live Scoring: Real-time updates, great for fast-paced games
  • Turn-Based: Step through turns, perfect for strategy games
  • Final Score Only: Just enter end scores, quick and simple
What if my game isn't in the library?
Use the Generic Scorer for any game, or request a custom template via support@scorehaven.com.
Can I score cooperative games?
Yes! Enable cooperative mode and the team wins or loses together. Great for games like Pandemic or Spirit Island.
Is my game history saved?
Yes, all completed games are saved to your profile. View your stats, win rates, and favorite games anytime.
